Stick a Fork In It

This is my first post on this site. I feel it should be momentous, brilliant, inspired. After all, I am a supermom. Only, really, I'm not. I wanted to call my blog something empowering, inspiring, because the last thing I feel like, is a supermom. But hopefully this blog will be a regular reminder that just being a mom to four, homeschooling them and getting up every morning actually falls in the "super" category.

Today was a less-than-super day. Suffice it to say that I was off and running to make cookie-dough solace by 10:30. It actually perfectly defines my day to tell you this--I went this afternoon to get a drink of milk. (I'm not much of a milk drinker, but it is a nice accompaniment to cookie dough.) The milk jug rattled. (I don't think they're supposed to rattle.) I looked in the jug--there's a plastic fork sitting there on the bottom. Enough said! Stick a fork in it--I'm done!!!

Hey! We should really talk soon. I'm sorry to hear that you never feel super . . . but I have definitely had days where cookie-dough therapy sounds appealing!
